Stage 5: REM sleep The rapid eye movement stage occurs about 90 minutes after you fall asleep, and is the primary “dreaming” stage of sleep. REM sleep lasts roughly 10 minutes the first time, increasing with each REM cycle. The final cycle of REM sleep usually lasts for roughly 60 minutes.

THE DIVISION of the hour into 60 minutes and of the minute into 60 seconds comes from the Babylonians who used a sexagesimal (counting in 60s) system for mathematics and astronomy. They derived their number system from the Sumerians who were using it as early as 3500 BC.

To sacrifice a permanent, you move it from the battlefield to your graveyard. You can’t regenerate it or save it in any way. You can sacrifice only your own permanents. To choose one of your permanents on the battlefield and put it into its owner’s graveyard.

Asra wanted to leave so they would be safe, but the Apprentice felt morally obligated to stay and help the people. The two separated on sour terms, Asra fleeing the city as promised and the Apprentice finding work at a doctor’s clinic. The Apprentice eventually contracted the plague and died alone at the Lazaret.
